Warwick Farm: Race 2 (1:25pm)
No. 5 Big Bad Bruce

Big Bad Bruce doesn’t know how to run a bad race, and he will take plenty of beating again in the second at Warwick Farm today. The Not A Single Doubt gelding was an impressive winner in BM64 company at Newcastle three back, finishing a length and a half from the winner at his next start before running a nose second at Canterbury last time out. He’s rock-hard fit and I can’t find a reason why he won’t be in the finish again.

Warwick Farm: Race 4 (2:35pm)
No. 3 Poulton Le Sands

Poulton Le Sands returned a flat effort in a far harder race at Rosehill last time out, but I am happy to give him another chance today. The Camelot gelding won at Newcastle in style when resuming and finished a close-up fourth over a mile here two back. He looks to be at peak fitness for this race, in-form hoop Rachel King stays aboard and with even luck, he can fight out the finish. ($8.50 at publish)

Sandown: Race 6 (3:20pm)
No. 3 Hapaira

Hapaira will take winning form into Race 6 at Sandown today and can make it two in a row. The Ciaron Maher & David Eustace-trained mare hasn’t run a bad race since debuting and never appeared in doubt when a near three-length winner at Echuca last time out. This race is harder, but she has plenty of upside and can continue her rise through the grades, while she’ll also have the benefit of a claiming apprentice in the saddle.

Sandown: Race 8 (4:30pm)
No. 6 Big Brew

Big Brew has returned some pleasing efforts this time and is up to winning the last at Sandown. The four-year-old gelding won over a mile here earlier this prep and has raced well in tougher contests at The Valley and Caulfield in the wake. He’s rock-hard fit, drawn well and will be ridden by Craig Williams.
