Ballarat: Race 3 (1:30pm)
No. 4 Osiris

The Maher and Eustace trained Osiris is yet to break through for his maiden win in his five career starts but he has not had a better opportunity than this contest this afternoon.

The son of Spirit Of Boom has been runner up on two occasions and he can settle just in behind the speed and show his turn of foot late.

Ballarat: Race 5 (2:30pm)
No. 1 Dee Keepa

Dee Keeper has managed one win and two minor placings from her six career starts and her first up run when finishing fourth at Weeibee was full of merit.

She will strip fitter for having that run and will appreciate the sharp rise in distance to 1400m.

She has found plenty of support in early betting suggesting that she will run well and Craig Newitt can give the lightly raced four year old a nice run in transit from the inside barrier.

Ballarat: Race 6 (3:00pm)
No. 3 Unshackled

Unshackled has been racing incredibly consistent this prep and although he has just the one win this time in, he has not been beaten more than 1.5 lengths at his last five runs.

He is being asked to carry the big weight in this contest, but Luke Oliver will use his claim to give him some weight relief and he has drawn barrier six.

Ballarat: Race 8 (4:00pm)
No. 7 Beauty Betty

Beauty Betty has managed a win and a third from her two career race starts and the three year old filly has been freshened up for this contest.

She scored by 1.5 lengths on debut at Scone before narrowly missing at Gosford behind the talented Mo’s Crown.

She has drawn perfectly in barrier two and has been supported in early betting. She’s my best of the day.
