Two of Dota2’s big hitters step up to the plate in week 7 of the China Professional League.
Invictus Gaming are currently sitting in fourth spot with a 5-2 record, China’s 4th ranked side recovered from a wobbly start to the season and has won their last three league matches.
CDEC Gaming are flying high in second place on the ladder, with their only defeat coming at the hands of league leaders Royal Never Give Up in game week 6.
CDEC vs iG matches have historically gone the full distance, with five of their last six Bo3 and Bo5 contests going to a final and deciding map, all of which Invictus Gaming has found a way to come out on top!
I’m backing history to repeat itself here with iG taking the spoils in a tight one.
CDEC Gaming have no time to relax their fingers following their match against Invictus, the second of their China Pro League double header against Sparking Arrow Gaming is set to click off shortly after.
Unlike iG, SAG have been struggling to keep their head above water this season and are currently sitting in second last with an appalling record of 1-6.
SAG have saved some face by claiming at least one map in five of their seven fixtures and should take the fight to CDEC in this one.
Despite sitting in second place, CDEC have been far from clinical this season, dropping a map in all but one of their matches.
I’m tipping CDEC to secure their place in the playoff brackets with a gritty win over an out of sorts SAG side here.
