Since winning the ESL Pro League European Grand final against Mousesports, Fnatic have uncharacteristically dropped two of their following four fixtures to sides ranked outside the top 40.
Team Vitality (WR#8) has also struggled to find any sort of consistency, winning 50% of their matches across the past two months and largely struggling against sides sitting inside the top ten.
Fnatic has claimed four of the five fixtures played between these two sides, most recently getting up 2-1 in the ESL Pro Season 10.
Fnatic are far from their best at this point in time and I can see them dropping a map here before eventually going on to win in three.
Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) ELS One Road to Rio Group fixtures get underway this weekend, with pro100 set to take on Hard Legion Esports in their second match.
pro100 are currently ranked 46th in the world a cool 94 places above Hard Legion but this in no way reflects the two sides current form, with pro100 winning just twice across their past seven matches.
Hard Legion have only been around since October 2019 and are steadily improving, wining four of their last seven and most recently trouncing world #34 Team Endpoint 2-0.
There is no head to head encounters to draw any insights from here, but all the form suggests that HL should relegate pro100 to the more appropriate title of ‘amateur100’ after this outing.
