Hard Legion Esports and Winstrike go toe to toe in the 2nd semifinal of ESL One Road to Rio – CIS.
Both Hard Legion and Winstrike finished the regular season with three wins and two loses, HLE qualifying straight through to the semis while Winstrike eased past Syman Gaming in the quarters.
Hard Legion have been playing out of their Russian skins of late, claiming victory in their last four outings which included a 2-0 win over world #4 Natus Vincere!
After going undefeated through April, Winstrike’s form has taken a turn for the worse, winning just twice across their last five matches.
There are no previous encounters between these two sides, but recent form suggests Hard Legion will be carrying more confidence into this clash despite the bookies having them as slight underdogs.
Swedish lads ‘GODSENT’ square off against their Danish foes ‘North’ in a bid to claim the coveted 7th place in the European ESL One Road to Rio.
Both sides will be disappointed not to be in finals contention after a strong group stage campaign, where they both finished with a 4-3 record.
Godsent holds bragging rights over their opponents, having seen off North 2-1 during the regular season.
Although, it’s the Danish outfit who carry all the momentum heading into this matchup, winning three from their last four starts compared to Godsent’s lousy record of one victory across the same trip.
I’m backing North to earn back the CSGO community’s respect by taking home the 7th place ribbon here.
