Volleyball: URAL ACADEMY VS URAL AIR FORCE
Ural Air Force 3-0 @ $5.50

Things are starting to look grim for the Ural Academy in Russia’s Ural Regional Volleyball men’s tournament.

The Academy has lost nine of their past ten matches and their coach has been informed he has the full support of the board… which usually spells doom.

Recent losses to the Military and the University have seen the Academy become the whipping boys of the tournament and their fans have been calling for blood ringing in the local sports radio station demanding action.

Despite losing their past three games, the Ural Air Force will fancy themselves against the Academy today.

Having come off a close encounter against their traditional rival the Military, the Air Force will relish the opportunity to take on the league’s whipping boys.

While some may consider it a “danger game” of sorts, I simply can’t comprehend how the Academy can bounce back in the current climate.

Academy is a team that is so down on confidence and a “backs against the wall” mentality is something they are still learning in between games.

Air Force Ural will get this done easily and more than happy to take the $5.50 for a straight-sets result.

Table Tennis: SVEN HAPPEK VS FLORIAN BLUHM
Set 1 Winner -Sven Happek @ $2.50

The Czech Table Tennis Challenger Series is back in action today and I for one cannot wait for the matchup between Sexy Sven Happek up against Fabulous Florian Bluhm that gets underway this afternoon at 5:50 pm (AEST time)

Fans who have been following the Challenger Series know that whenever Sexy Sven is involved, you’re in for an epic battle.

While he only won one of his four games last week all of Happek games have been five-set epics with his Lleyton Hewitt-Esque never say die spirit on show for all to see.

Fabulous Florian Bluhm goes into this match the clear $1.26 favourite in the head-to-head market.

Bluhm can beat anyone on his day, but only won two out of his five games last week, however, the week previous he was unbeaten.

You should expect Florian Bluhm to win this game but expect Sven Happek to come out firing in the first part of the match.

He would love nothing more than to get his Challenger Series campaign back on track starting the week off with a win.

I can’t see Sexy Sven getting over Fabulous Florian but I am willing to take him to win the first set at the solid $2.50 price.
