Smolevichi will be attempting to secure their first win of the season when they host Energetik-BGU in the opening match of Game Week 7 in the BPL.
Smolevichi are currently sitting second from the bottom of the table, with three loses and three draws to their name, all three draws coming against teams outside of the top ten.
Energetik-BGU started their season off on the front foot, claiming maximum points across the opening three rounds, yet have dropped off the map since, losing their next three contests, be it against quality opponents.
Smolevichi hold the second lowest goals-for tally in the league, with an underwhelming three strikes from six matches, and while Energetik have found the back of the net on six occasions they have failed to bother the scorekeeper across their last three games.
With both sides in truely horrible form offensively this game looks like a case of first goal wins, I’m backing Energetik-BGU to enjoy the drop in class here and dominate proceedings early.
Jiri Vrablik will be looking to record his seventh win on the trot as he prepares to trade blows with the formidable Dmitrij Prokopcov this evening in the TT Star Series.
Prokopcov has been in impressive form himself, winning five from his last six hitouts.
These two fierce competitors have tapped paddles on seven occasions over the past month, with Prokopcov coming up trumps on five of the most recent fixtures.
Despite Prokopcov dominating the results 5-2 over that stretch it has been far from smooth sailing, with four matches heading to a fifth and deciding set.
I believe Dmitrij is occupying a fair bit of realestate inside of Jiri’s noggin and I’d be surprised if he didn’t claim his sixth straight victory in this matchup.
