K-LEAGUE: JEONBUK HYUNDAI MOTORS VS SUWON SAMSUNG BLUEWINGS
Adam Taggart Anytime Goal Scorer @ $3.10

Reigning 2019 champions Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors host the Suwon Samsung Bluewings in what they are dubbing the “Handsfree Bluetooth Derby”

Jeonbuk Motors have dominated the K-League in recent years, having won the past three championships and will fancy themselves going into this season for a fourth title on the trot with their star-studded line up of Korean Internationals along with high prized recruit South African striker Lars Veldwijk joining them over the off-season.

Their opponents, Suwon Samsung Bluewings had a rather ordinary K-League campaign in 2019 but were able to lift the Korean FA Cup trophy.

Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors will go in favourite being reigning champions and currently on an eight-game winning streak but there is an Aussie flavour to this game.

Former Socceroo and Brisbane Roar Striker Adam Taggart will be the first Australian footballer of any code to kick a ball in months.

If Suwon Samsung is to have any luck improving on their eighth position on the K-League table, they’ll need Taggart to lead from the front and put a few at the back of the net.

With the exception of racing, it’s been a while since I’ve backed an Aussie in anything, so out of a sense of patriotism and value – I’m backing Aussie Adam Taggart to be anytime goal scorer in this match.

Belarusian Premier League: GORODEYA VS MINSK
Draw @ $2.90

The overnight (2 am Saturday AEST) mid-table clash in the Belarusian Premier League between Gorodeya and Minsk is set to be a beauty with both teams needing to get the points to make sure they are nowhere near that relegation zone.

Gorodeya will be desperate to get the full three points and came oh-so-close at home last week, had it not been for a late 90-minute equaliser in their match against Rukh.

Their opponents Minsk have been out-of-form recently and had an absolute shocker against Torpedo last weekend conceding five goals.

Minsk is currently sitting 12th on the table and is another loss away from the dreaded relegation zone.

Both sides have been rather ordinary of recent and desperate to find winning form.

I wouldn’t at all be surprised if we end up with a high-scoring match.

Take both sides to at least get a point each in this contest.
