Esupercars All Stars Eseries – Round 4 Tips and Preview

The Supercars Eseries returns for Round 4 on Wednesday night as the V8 drivers login to the virtual Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal, followed by NASCAR track Watkins Glen.

Former Supercars champ Marcos Ambrose will join the grid alongside fellow NASCAR driver Joey Legano and Indianapolis 500 winner Alexander Rossi.

Once again our in-house V8 Virtuoso has critically analysed the All Star grid and extracted his best betting plays to share with the punters below!

Eseries Round 4 - Montreal
Shane Van Gisbergen $3.00

Round 4 of the 2020 BP Ultimate All Stars Eseries gets underway at Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal, home to the Canadian Grand Prix.

Scott McLaughlin heads into this race on top of the leader board after claiming his third checkered flag of the Eseries in race 3 of Round 3.

However, Shane van Gisbergen has continued to apply the pressure behind McLaughlin, winning his third race across the last five starts and is highly fancied to breach the gap even further in Montreal.

Scott has failed to claim Pole for a single race this season and I’m expecting van Gisbergen’s Commodore to take advantage of their grid position and hold off his Kiwi comrade.

Eseries Round 4 - Watkins Glen
Marcos Ambrose $9.00

Following Montreal, the 2020 BP Ultimate All Stars Eseries will move across the border (US virtual VISA permitting) to Watkins Glen Raceway, New York.

Watkins Glen aka the Glen has been the home of multiple big races including the US Grand Pix, IndyCar 500 and NASCAR Nationwide Series.

It was at The Glen where former Supercar Champion Marcos Ambrose made his name in the US, claining his first race victory there in 2008 before going on to win again at the famous track in the following two years and once more in 2014, leaving him level with Terry Labonte for the most NASCAR wins on circuit (4).

Ambrose’s extensive knowledge of The Glen will hold him in good stead against the majority of the field here, with the exception of Joey Legano who is a three time Wtkins Glen winner himself, most recently standing atop of the Glen podium in 2018.

I’m backing Marcos to get home here at $9, although Joey Legano also provides excellent value at $12.
