The Gardens: Race 2 (7:18pm)
No. 2 Mercator Bell

Mercator Bell has only made one appearance at the races so far, but she was an impressive winner on debut and can continue her rise through the grades tonight. The daughter of Dyna Double One when straight to the lead here last week and never looked in doubt, scoring a seven-length win. I can’t find a reason why she won’t be able to do something similar in this.

The Gardens: Race 6 (8:50pm)
No. 1 Rio Dixie

Rio Dixie has been a strong and consistent performer recently and is up to winning the sixth at The Gardens tonight, at a price ($7.50 at publish). The daughter of Barcia Bale was an impressive winner here three back and has since run home well to finish second at each of her two subsequent starts. She can make all of her own luck from Box 1 and will take beating.

The Gardens: Race 7 (9:14pm)
No. 1 Greek Bombshell

Greek Bombshell was unsighted at Richmond last time out, but she’s back from a freshen-up tonight and can return to winning form. The daughter of El Grand Senor was an impressive winner in January and filled the minors of a tougher race before her last start miss. She’s another runner whose chances have received a big boost tonight with the drawing of Box 1.

The Gardens: Race 9 (9:54pm)
No. 5 Agnetha

Agnetha doesn’t know how to run a bad race and is primed to win at The Gardens tonight. The daughter of Fernando Bale win each of her first two starts and has since placed second in her three subsequent appearances. She looks to be at peak fitness and will have the benefit of an empty box on her inside for this contest.
