Going into this game after a huge 3-0 win over Pavel Korolev, Oleg Nikiforov will go into this morning’s matchup with the youthful Anatoly Trushkin full of swagger, despite being the underdog with the punters.
Anatoly Trushkin is full of confidence at the moment, having won his past six games at the Moscow Liga Pro Tournament and will fancy himself against Nikiforov.
However, Nikiforov has spoken of a big game going into this match and while I think Trushkin will get the job done, I expect Oleg to come out all guns blazing and is good value to win the first game.
Wessell Nijman is a man on a mission and after two days of the Modus Icons of Darts competition finds himself unbeaten 8-0 and on top of the table.
Raymond van Barneveld is struggling and is yet to register a win.
Facing Wessell Nijman is a daunting prospect.
It seems as though Nijman has taken to this new virtual format like a duck to water and the once-mighty Raymond van Barneveld has struggled to adapt to the working from home version of Darts.
I expect Wessell to get the job done easily in this matchup and backing his handicap for good value.
It’s another hot-one in Perth today and the BOM is predicting “mostly sunny. Winds north to northeasterly 15 to 25 km/h turning west to northwesterly 15 to 20 km/h in the middle of the day then becoming light in the late afternoon. Top of 33 degrees.”
Today would be great to hit one of Perth’s amazing beaches, but we know the rules in place at the moment, so while we can’t get on down to Cottesloe the good folk of the WA capital can sit inside in the aircon and relax.
For mine, I like the chances of it going just a little bit over and the 33.05-33.55 mark seems about right and good value at the $3.50 price.
