Let’s start Tuesday with one of my favourite markets – Perth’s weather.
Today, the BOM has forecast “Partly cloudy. Light winds becoming southwesterly 15 to 25 km/h in the middle of the day then becoming light in the evening. Top of 25 degrees” for the West Australian capital.
It looks like a lovely day in Perth and when you factor in those nice sea breezes and the Fremantle Doctor, it might just get a little under the max forecast predicted and the 24.55-25.05 mark at $4 looks like excellent value.
Taiwan’s Super Basketball League action heats up tonight with the highly anticipated clash between the Yulon Luxgen Dinos and Pauian Archiland.
The Dinos are desperate for a win after losing five of their last six games and will welcome the chance to play Pauian who are also on a four-game losing streak.
This is set to be a fascinating contest and the home team will go in as favourites despite their poor form of late, but I for one am very surprised that is the case.
Pauian have had their issues of recent and while they are the underdog, it’s hard to get excited about Yulon Luxgen given their horrible form and shocking defence on the court.
It’s worth noting that in their most recent meeting, Pauian thrashed Yulan 109-82 in a game that saw Pauian lead by 10 points in the first quarter and outscored them in every single quarter of the match.
With both teams having a similar form line, I expect this game to be closer, and Pauian looks like a team that still knows how to win so I’ll take the 1-5 point margin at the $5.50 price.
