BELARUSIAN VYSSHAYA LEAGUE - SHAKHTER SOLIGORSK VS NEMAN GRODNO
Draw @ $4

Tonight’s Belarusian Vysshaya League action really ramps up as Shakhter hosts Neman on their home deck.

Shakhter was a disgrace in the first round of the season but managed to bounce back with a solid display against Gorodeya, getting their first win of the Belarusian Premier League Season.

Their opponents, Neman also managed to get their first win of the season last weekend coming back from a slow start against Vitebsk but travelling to play Shakhter away is one of the toughest assignments in Belarusian Football.

Shakhter goes into this game the firm $1.33 favourite with Neman the rank $9 outsider despite both teams being 1 win-1 loss this season.

Neman will welcome back bad-boy Zoran Marusic after a one-game suspension which will no doubt help boost the team’s prospects for an upset win.

Last week proved the Shakheter can be beaten at home after going down to Torpedo in Round 1 after a 12 game winning streak.

Many expect them to resume normal programming and win but I reckon Neman can hold them to a Draw and is terrific value at the $4 price.

SYDNEY WEATHER
Max Temp 27.05 - 27.55 @ $4

We focus in our attention on today’s weather in Sydney where the BOM has forecast “medium (50%) chance of showers and the chance of a thunderstorm in the morning. Sunny afternoon. Winds northerly 20 to 30 km/h turning westerly in the middle of the day then becoming light in the late evening. Max of 27 degrees.”

I’m feeling it’s a bit of an over day and the max temp being the 27.05-27.55 looks like solid value at the $4 price.

Just don’t head to the beach at Manly Sydneysiders.

DONCASTER MILE
No. 3 Homesman

We’ll take a break from the mainstream sports such Keirin and the Table Tennis today and focus in on what the in-house Profit Prophet is backing in today’s Doncaster Mile at Royal Randwick today.

“Homesman did all of his best work late when resuming in the Chipping Norton Stakes and, while there is no doubt that he’ll need everything to go his way after drawing awkwardly, I think he’s going to win the 2020 Doncaster Mile. The War Front gelding rarely runs a bad race and won the Group 2 Feehan most notably in spring, following up that effort with a close-up second in the Underwood. The booking of Nash Rawiller to ride is extremely positive and for this horse, 56.5kgs is a very manageable weight.”
