KEIRIN: KOCHI CITY race 5
Yoshida (Five) @ $6.50

Our Keirin tips got off to a flyer yesterday when Ueki came home in lane 9, Race 5 at Odawara and while it was a favourite, a win is a win and we can boast about our 100% strike rate.

We focus our attention on today’s Keirin action in Kochi City and find some solid value in Race 5.

The market can’t split Hatane or Yamaguchi, with both being marked as the $2.25 favourite, however, I liked the chances of the outsider Yoshida in this one.

Well placed in lane five, Yoshida is known for his sprinting power once the motorbike gets away and makes for terrific value at the $6.50 price.

Table Tennis - Setka Cup - ANTON POPOV v TIMUR VOYTEKHOV
Anton Popov Game 1 Winner @ $2.20

The Setka Cup Table Tennis action continues today with battler Anton Popov taking on seasoned campaigner Timor Voytekhov this afternoon.

To say Anton Popov has had a shocking Setka Cup campaign would be an understatement.

Popov started the tournament with a win but since then he has gone to lose his next seven games, including his most recent – also against Voytekhov 1-3 and his confidence is very much on a downward spiral.

However, being drawn to play Timur Voytekhov again will give Popov a chance to fix his game.

Votekhov has won three out of his past five and will have plenty of confidence heading into another match with Anton Popov but he can get lazy at times.

I don’t think Anton Popov can get the win in this match but I wouldn’t rule out him coming out all guns blazing and winning the first game.

Brisbane Weather
Max Temp: 29.55 - 30.05 @ $4.75

She’s a hot one in Bris-Vegas today and the BOM has forecast “Mostly sunny. Light winds becoming north to northeasterly 15 to 25 km/h in the middle of the day then becoming light in the late evening. Top of 30 degrees.”

What a great day for the people of Brisbane to stay at home!

I’m not sure if Brisbane will get to its peak temp today so I really like the 29.55-30.05 mark for the max temp at $4.75.
