We simply can’t get enough of Russia’s Ural Regional Volleyball Championship and today’s re-match between Air Force Ural and University Ural is set to be a fascinating encounter.
The Air Force boys had a big day in the Championship yesterday, smashing Academy Ural 3-0 followed by getting the job done against University Ural 3-1 making it two from two.
University Ural is hard to get a read of at times.
They managed to get a much-needed win and confidence boost with a straight-sets win also against their traditional rival – the Miltary.
However, they have only won two out of their past seven and the only team University has beaten is the Miltary.
Air Force Ural should be able to get the job done in this one, but I wouldn’t be surprised if University came out all guns blazing and won the first set.
Happy to take it at the $2 price.
Ping Pong fans who have been closely following the Setka Cup this week are very much looking forward to the highly anticipated matchup between Konstantin Kirsanov and Oleksandr Dukhoven in the men’s singles tournament.
Kirsanov will be hurting after he went down to Maksym Cherepnin in straight-sets in his most recent match, however, he goes into this one as a narrow favourite in a fairly even market.
His opponent, Oleksander Dukhovenko has lost his past three matches and has only won two out of his eight games in this Setka Cup campaign.
Dukhovenko is also going into this game coming off a straight-sets loss.
It will be very interesting to see just how these players respond but for mine, I think Oleksander Dukhovenko has it in him to get his Setka Cup mission back on track and cause an upset.
Given Kirsanov’s hot and cold form and known bad temper, Dukhovenko has the ability to get the job done under pressure and I’ll take him at the 3-1 scoreline at the solid $4.20 value.
