BELARUSIAN PREMIER LEAGUE: FC RUKH BREST VS FC MINSK
FC RUKH BREST @ $2.50

It may be only week five of the BPL season, but this game between FC Rukh Brest and FC Minsk could make or break their 2020 campaigns.

Rukh managed to avoid a third consecutive loss last weekend managing to lock in a 0-0 draw against Slavia on Tuesday night.

It was an undisciplined display from FC Rukh Brest, especially when they were reduced to 10 men with under 30 minutes remaining in the game  when their superstar Aboudlaye Diallo was given his second yellow card for the match and forced to sit out the remainder, along with this Saturday’s game.

For FC Minsk, this is a testing time and the players and coaches are feeling the heat.

While losing two games in a row is nothing out of the ordinary in the Belarus Premier League, it was how Minsk managed to go down to BATE last weekend at home going down 3-0.

The switchboard lit like a Christmas tree on Minsk Sports Radio with fans venting their disgust and at what was a “Pathetic” and “Dispirited” performance for a proud club such as FC Minsk.

There’s no doubting Minsk will want to come out and make a statement this weekend, especially with their backs against the wall.

However, FC Minsk has not scored in any of their past three matches.

As for the home team, Rukh have only scored once this BPL season so I expect this encounter to be low-scoring.

Goals will be at a premium in this game but the home team should be able to get the job done.

BELARUSIAN PREMIER LEAGUE: FK ISLOCH MINSK VS SLAVIA MOZYR
Draw @ $3

Isloch will be looking to get back to their winning ways after starting their BPL 2020 campaign with two wins but those are a distant memory after back to back losses including a from Dinamo Brest last weekend.

Their opponents, Slavia failed to score for the first time this season but managed to hold Ruh Brest for a Draw away last Tuesday night.

FK Isloch Misnk’s defence has come over heavy scrutiny in the leadup to this game and with many experts saying it needs to be worked on if they are able to get back to the form we saw from them in the first two weeks of the season.

While they are at home, facing Slavia on the rebound is no easy task.

Slavia remain unbeaten in all four competitions they are participating in but Isloch has it in them to bounce back quickly.

It’s hard to separate these two clubs, and am expecting some very defensive football.

Happy to back the Draw at the $3
