The hopes of 25 lucky Neds punters will be riding on Superstorm in the 2020 All-Star Mile at Caulfield on Saturday, March 14th.
The morning of Monday, March 2nd saw Racing Victoria’s Greg Carpenter announce five wildcard entries into the 2020 All-Star Mile, before a ballot system allocated the ambassadorial rights of those runners to five organisations – Neds included.
We weren’t drawn out of the pot until pick four, but Perth’s star three-year-old remained on the table and our representative Alex Wilkinson managed to find him.
We are delighted to have selected Superstorm as our wildcard runner in the @allstarmile!

Neds customers who placed a multi of $10 or more at any Caulfield meeting this year were automatically entered into the draw and 25 punters have subsequently won their way into the one-day All-Star Mile syndicate.
Should Superstorm win the 2020 All-Star Mile, our 25 lucky punters stand to collect $10,000 each. Regardless of the result, the 25 punters will be treated to a full owner’s experience at Caulfield on All-Star Mile Day.
Superstorm has only made seven appearances at the races so far, but he has continued to improve with each effort and as the bar has been raised.
His first-up domination of the Listed Challenge Stakes at Ascot in February suggested he was in for a good preparation, but it was his outstanding performance for second in Saturday’s Group 1 Australian Guineas that really did announce his ability to the greater Australian racing fraternity and ultimately, booked his ticket into the 2020 All-Star Mile.
Australian Guineas winner Alligator Blood has remained the $3.20 favourite in 2020 All-Star Mile betting following Monday’s wildcard draw, ahead of star Kiwi mare Melody Belle ($6) and the now-confirmed Fierce Impact ($9).
Superstorm has firmed noticeably and is currently perched on the sixth line of betting at generous 2020 All-Star Mile odds of $12.
