Laurie’s Flyer has been airborne of late and looks tough to beat in the second at Wentworth Park tonight. The son of Fernando Bale has won five races in succession leading into this, four in particularly slick time and importantly, he relishes jumping from out wide. With even luck, there’s no reason why he won’t be in the finish again.
Kwong Magic will take winning form into the third at Wentworth Park today and looks well placed to make it two in a row. The daughter of El Grand Senor is another runner that has found top gear recently, winning five of his last six races. He can go straight to the lead from Box 1 and dictate terms for his rivals.
Zipping Veyron’s recent form could hardly have been more impressive, and this looks another terrific opportunity for her to win. The daughter of Black Magic Opal has won seven of her last eight races, including a Group 1 race here late last month and a repeat of any would see her winning. She is my best of the night.
Sketchy Butler will need some early luck from out wide, but he too boasts excellent form recently and is up to winning. The son of Banjo Boy took a few starts to find top hear but has won three of his last four starts including two in succession leading into this.
