Albion Park: Race 4 (8:13pm AEDT)
No. 7 Merlin's Maid

Merlin’s Maid has returned several excellent efforts recently and is primed to win at Albion Park tonight. She’s yet to win, but she ran second in three consecutive races before being checked out of the race at this track and distance last week. She’s rock-hard fit and if she crosses the field, she won’t be offered a better opportunity.

No. 2 Sutton's Lass

Sutton’s Lass has been a model of consistency recently and looks a touch of overs to win the fifth at Albion Park tonight ($8 at publish). The daughter of Fernando Bale has won three of her last five starts, placing on the two other occasions and hit the line to finish third in a tougher race last time out. Race favourite Sequana will be tough to beat, but I think that Sutton’s Lass can run a bold one.

Albion Park: Race 7 (9:18pm AEDT)
No. 3 Peter Talks

The early scratching of Winning Light has left this as a very winnable race for Peter Talks. The son of Thirty Talks has found excellent form of late, winning two of his last three starts including one over 431m in particularly slick time at Ipswich. He’s rock-hard fit and can record another win.

Albion Park: Race 8 (9:43pm AEDT)
No. 5 Eli Red Fawn

Eli Red Fawn is a strong and consistent performer and will take beating at Albion Park tonight. The son of Fernando Bale mustered an eye-catching turn of foot to win at this track and distance in fast time two back, before stepping up in grade for another good performance that heralded a close-up second. As long as he steps well, he’ll fight out the finish.
