Premier League Game Week 25 Tips & Preview

Premier League Game Week 25 Tips & Preview

Game Week 25 gets underway on Saturday night when Brendan Rodger’s side looks to put their Carabao Cup disappointment behind them with an improved showing against the Blues.

Once again, we are forced to wait until Monday morning (AEDT) for the match of the round, when what’s left of the Tottenham Football Club faces the daunting task of hosting Manchester City.

I’ve previewed all ten fixtures across GW25, providing my best bets along the way.

West Ham v Liverpool (Rescheduled GW18)
Liverpool to Win to Nil $2.25

Before Game Week 25 gets underway, we switch our focus to London Stadium on Thursday morning (AEDT) when the Hammers host the Reds.

After a brief showing of quality following the arrival of David Moyes, the Hammers have well and truely slipped back into doldrums of mediocrity.

West Ham are without victory across their last three matches, leaving them sitting just above the relegation zone curtesy of their superior goal difference.

The Reds are on track to break more records season than Michael Phelps in a LZR Full-length Swimsuit!

Klopp will be without one of his most influential players, with Mane pulling up lame against the Wolves last week.

Liverpool have kept seven clean sheet from their last eight games and should have little trouble containing the Hammers’ lack lustre attack.

leicester v Chelsea
Leicester to Win $2.60

Leicester returned to winning ways after easily accounting for West Ham’s best attempt at a football side in GW24.

The Foxes young core of midfielders controlled the pace throughout the game, dominating both with and without the ball.

Vardy may not be available this weekend, with the veteran subbed off early against the Hammers with a glut injury.

Chelsea are sitting in forth place on the PL table, six points clear of United in fifth, despite dropping points in eight of their last twelve matches.

The Blues butchered what looked to be a certain three-points against the Gunners in GW24, surrendering a one-goal advantage on two occasions against a 10-man Arsenal outfit.

The Foxes have the quality on both ends of the pitch to skip past the Blues at King Power Stadium this weekend and are huge overs at $2.60.

Newcastle v norwich
Newcastle to Win $2.20

Newcastle fans are holding their collective breath in the hope that Mike Ashley will finally sell their club to a cashed up Saudi Prince, but for now they will have to make do with the with their loose change squad.

The Toons fly into this contest with more confidence than Maradona three lines deep, after scoring two junk-time goals to salvage a draw against the Toffees at Goodison Park in GW24.

Steve Bruce has effectively made Newcastle’s striker role redundant with five defenders occupying the top seven club goal scorers, while record signing Brazilian striker Joelinton has contributed less than the team mascot.

Norwich remain the league’s whipping boys sitting six points clear at the bottom of the table, an honourable achievement considering the lack of quality below Liverpool in the league.

The Canaries claimed three points against Newcastle back in GW2, since then the newly promoted outfit have managed just three more wins for the season, add that to the fact they haven’t won at Saint James Park from five attempts and you’ve got a pretty attractive head to head price for the Toons at $2.20.

crystal palace v Sheffield United
Draw $2.90

The Blades travel to Selhurst Park and take on Palace in a contest which promises to be about as entertaining as an episode of ‘The Big Bang Theory’ without a laughing track.

Both sides have won just once across the last six game weeks, with both victories coming against the Hammers!

Palace are winless in five matches, claiming a point off both Arsenal and Man City.

The Eagles and the Blades have both drawn nine games this season, seven of which have come on the road for the latter.

With neither team processing the ability to close out a contest, the $2.90 on offer for the draw looks too good to ignore.

west ham v Brighton
Hammers to Win $2.50

West Ham gets two bites at the cherry in this weeks EPL preview, with the contest against the Seagulls their biggest hope a sealing at least a point.

The Hammers will most likely assume the starfish position during their midweek fixture against the Reds, in an attempt to conserve their legs for the weekend session!

Brighton have one win from their last nine matches and limp into GW25 following an embarrassing display against the out of sorts Cherries, losing 3-1.

The Seagulls have been awful on the road this season, winning on just two occasions, with only Norwich holding a poorer record.

bournemouth v aston villa
Aston Villa to Win $3.40

Bournemouth play host to Aston Villa in what could be a pivotal fixture in the fight for PL survival.

Both sides come into this contest off the back of respective wins, the Cherries broke a six game losing streak with a 3-1 victory against the Seagulls, while the Villans nicked a last minute win over the resurgent Hornets.

Despite a convincing scoreline against Brighton, the Cherries were outplayed in every other aspect of the game, with Aaron Ramsdale earning all three points with an inspiring performance between the sticks.

Aston Villa secured their spot in the Carabao Cup Final with an impressive 2-1 victory against the Foxes overnight and will be fancying their chances against the injury stricken Cherries.

watford v Everton
Under 2.5 Goals $1.75

Not too long ago I would’ve suggested that the punters turned off their TV’s and forgot this fixture was ever scheduled. Now, following a change of manager in both camps, these sides have turned their fortunes around, ultimately warranting at least a peak at the extended highlights.

Watford tasted defeat for the first time in seven matches, as they fell to a last minute winner against the Villans in GW24.

Everton comically threw away a 2-nil advantage against Newcastle last week, allowing the Toons to find the back of the net on the 94th and 95th minutes of the game!

Watford have conceded just one goal across their last four home matches, and will look to shut up shop once again.

liverpool v Southampton
SGM: Reds to Win + Over 1.5 Second Half Liverpool Goals + Over 2.5 Match Goals $2.40

The Reds welcome their feeder team to Anfield as they look to claim their thousandth win of the season.

The list of Liverpool’s Saints graduates extends to; van Dijk, Mane, Lovren, Lallana and even Oxlade-Chamberlain via Arsenal, but arguably the most inform player to don both jerseys is Southampton’s Danny Ings, with the English striker netting 10 goals from his last 11 starts.

Liverpool have claimed victory over the Saints in their last five meeting, with four of those fixtures ending with over 2.5 goals scored.

Manchester United v wolves
Wolves to Win $3.50

Just like Ed Woodward’s mansion, I’m expecting Man United’s goals to be bombarded come Sunday morning!

Manchester United have lost three of the past four EPL fixtures by two goals to nil.

With Rashford in a wheel chair and no attacking reinforcements bought in, all the scoring pressure lays squarely on the shoulders of JLingz!

The Wolves are undefeated against United in their last three meetings and will be looking to leapfrog the Red Devils into 5th place with a win at Old Trafford!

Burnley v arsenal
Burnley to Win $3.60

Burnley march into this contest after knocking off both Leicester and United in successive Premier League fixtures.

The Clarets claimed their first victory at Old Trafford for the first time since 1962, a true testament to the work Ole Gunnar Solskjær has done at United’s wheel.

The Gunners also claimed a recent victory over United, but have failed to win in their following three fixtures, sharing the points with Palace, Sheffield United and Chelsea.

Arteta will welcome back Aubameyang to the fold, after his club captain missed the last three matches through suspension.

Arsenal have’t lost a PL match to Burnley since before the Age of Wenger, but records continue to roll and top six sides continue to fall and for that reason I’ll be backing in the Clarets on their current form.

Tottenham v Manchester City
SGM: Man City to Win + Over 3.5 Goals $3.03

Match of the Round comes to fruition when City head into London and take on the Spurs.

Tottenham claimed a point against City in a four goal thriller in GW2, although the Special One will have his work cut out for him this time around with the recent sale of Christian Eriksen compounding the loss of Harry Kane to injury.

Man City are undefeated in five PL matches and are once again looking comfortable in defence with the return of Aymeric Laporte.

I’m expecting both sides to go hell for leather at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with the Sky Blues edging out the Spurs in a high scoring affair.
