Ballarat: Race 5 (8:20pm AEDT)
No. 8 Couture

Couture absolutely blew away his rivals at Bendigo two back and a repeat of that performance would see him back into the winner’s stall at Ballarat tonight. The son of My Bro Fabio has returned several pleasing efforts of late and he should be away to stay away from early trouble tonight from out wide.

Ballarat: Race 6 (8:42pm AEDT)
No. 4 Neo Bale

Neo Bale is another runner that has found strong form and looms as a live chance of winning the sixth at Ballarat this evening. The son of Banjo Boy harbours an impressive sprint soon after box rise, so the central draw shouldn’t prove too much of an issue tonight, and with appropriate luck I can’t find a reason why he won’t be in the finish.

Ballarat: Race 7 (9pm AEDT)
No. 2 High Fusion

High Fusion is suited to the inside draw and will be hard to run down at Ballarat tonight. The son of Barcia Bale recorded an impressive win in blistering time at Bendigo three back; progressing to credible performances in a couple of tougher races here. He’s rock-hard fit and can go straight to the lead.

Ballarat: Race 10 (10:01pm AEDT)
No. 1 Bayside Bourbski

Bayside Bourbski mustered an eye-catching turn of foot to fill the minors here at Ballarat last week and can go on with the job in the tenth tonight, at a price ($6.50 at publish). The daughter of Fabregas doesn’t win out of turn, but her last start effort suggested that she has found peak condition and she is drawn to receive all the favours tonight.
