Red Potion will appreciate a drop in class at Healesville today and looks tough to beat in the fifth. He can stay away from early trouble from out wide and will take plenty of beating in this class.
Meehan Pebbles is another runner that looks beautifully placed for a return to winning form at Healesville this afternoon. The daughter of Barcia Bale returned an enormous performance to salute in slick time here last month and was last seen finishing second from a central draw here last week. With even luck, this looks a lovely race for her.
Global Gem has mixed her form a little of late, but she relishes jumping from a wide draw and looks well placed for a return to the winner’s stall. Another daughter of Barcia Bale, Global Gem was an impressive winner from Box 7 here two back before a luckless, though fair effort last time out. She’s rock-hard fit and looks the one to beat.
Crocodile Smile faces a rise in class at Ipswich tonight, but she has been in strong and consistent form of late and looms as a live chance of winning at a price ($7 at publish). The daughter of Dyna Double One recorded three wins in succession before running second here last time out. She’s rock-hard fit and with appropriate luck, can fight out the finish again.
