We’re back to the Gold Coast tonight and a match that could prove vital to the respective campaigns of the Brisbane Heat and Perth Scorchers looms. Neither side has been particularly convincing, and they sit second last and third last on the ladder heading into this.
The Heat finally recorded their first win of the season at their last appearance and they should enter this refreshed following more than a week off. Chris Lynn remains the key to their success and another huge innings would go a long way towards his side winning.
The Scorchers have failed to get into a rhythm and have also won just the one match; losing two in a row ahead of this. Their roster is amongst the best on paper in the league and it does still seem as though they’ll be extremely difficult to beat, if they can put it all together.
Given this isn’t actually their home crowd either, I don’t think the Heat deserve their resounding favouritism. I’m happy to take the value on offer for the Scorchers.
