Melbourne Stars vs Hobart Hurricanes (2:45pm AEDT)
Stars to Win ($1.80)

The Sunday action takes us to Moe for the first time in BBL 9 and both the Melbourne Stars and Hobart Hurricanes will be seeking to keep alive unbeaten starts to the season.

The Stars could hardly have been more impressive in their comfortable win over the Heat on the Gold Coast on Friday and there’s little doubt that they’ll enjoy good improvement for the run. Their favouritism in returning home is justified.

Hobart season began in interesting circumstances, during the day and in Alice Springs on Friday and they should also relish a return to a less offensive climate. They did enough to beat the Sixers first-up, but were probably saved by their opposition’s poor performance, rather than their own being particularly convincing.

Sydney Sixers vs Brisbane Heat (7:10pm AEDT)
Sixers to Win ($1.90)

We’re back to the SCG this evening and both the Sixers and Heat will surely be hoping for more cricket-like conditions than those that were served up when the home side played their first match here on Wednesday. It was pretty sandy.

The Sixers looked on their way to a second win in as many starts halfway through the second innings in Alice Springs on Friday, but a middle-order collapse all but sealed their fate, and they will be eager to respond here.

Things are already starting to look dire for the Heat, meanwhile, who are starring down the barrel of a third-consecutive defeat. They simply have not looked like winning in either of their matches so far and face an equally tough prospect in the Magenta Men, away from home.
