best bet
Wagga: Race 1 (1:15pm AEDT)
No. 4 Calescent

Calescent has returned several pleasing efforts this time and looks the one to beat in the first at Wagga today. The Sizzling filly has recorded two wins and a placing during her four starts this time and was last see finishing midfield in a Highway race at Randwick. This is obviously a decent step back in class from that contest and she is rock-hard fit. She’s my best of the day.

Wagga: Race 2 (1:50pm AEDT)
No. 4 Sepulchre

Sepulchre doesn’t know how to run a bad race and looks well placed to record another win at Wagga this afternoon. The Joseph Ible-trained mare has finished outside of the places only once in her last six starts and was last seen recording a smart win over a decent field at Canberra. She is rock-hard fit and needs only appropriate luck in running to be in the finish again.

Wagga: Race 4 (3:05pm AEDT)
No. 5 Rinviata

Rinviata will take winning form into the fourth at Wagga this afternoon and looks over the odds to make it two in a row at Wagga this afternoon ($10 at publish). The Postponed gelding tuned up with a couple of fair efforts when resuming, but his last-start effort in BM70 company suggested that he has found peak condition and a repeat of that effort here would render him tough to beat.

Wagga: Race 6 (4:15pm AEDT)
No. 8 Disobedient

Disobedient returned a pleasing effort in her first start for Matt Dale and will take good improvement into her second campaign appearance at Wagga this afternoon. Formerly saddled by Team Hawkes, the Dissident filly was settled off the pace here at Wagga and mustered an eye-catching turn of foot to finish second. Any improvement at all would be enough to see her into the finish of this.
