Thunda Touch has found a purple patch of form and can make it three wins in a row in the first at The Gardens this evening. The son of Magic Sprite rarely runs a bad race but has found particularly good form recently and was last seen delivering a decent field a thrashing defeat over 388m at Gosford. His form from central boxes is good and hopefully, he can send us off a winner.
Lilly Banner will take winning form into the fifth at The Gardens tonight and looks well placed to make it two in a row. The daughter of Dyna Double One hasn’t finished worse than second at her last five appearances but was particularly impressive when a dominant winner in slick time last time out, and a repeat of that effort from Box 2 tonight would be too good for these rivals.
Laurie’s Flyer doesn’t know how to run a bad race and looms as the one to beat in the tenth at The Gardens tonight. The talented son of Fernando Bale won five in succession before finishing third in a tougher race here last time out and with appropriate luck from the central box, he can return to winning form.
Akubra Queen is a model of consistency and looks a live chance at a price in the last at The Gardens ($11 at publish). The daughter of Crash beat a handy field to the line over 340m two back before flashing home late from the outside box to finish second last time out. Back to box 1, I can’t find a reason why she won’t be in the finish again.
