Fire On Ice is an above-average greyhound and will take beating in the fifth at Wentworth Park tonight. The daughter of Fernando Bale strung together four wins in succession through November and hit the line well to finish third at this track and distance last week. She’s drawn well in Box 2 and is ready to win again.
Chilli Cheal will carry winning form into the sixth at Wentworth Park tonight and is up to making it two in a row. The son of Barcia Bale ha continued to improve with racing recently, but his last start effort suggested that he has hit peak condition and a repeat of that effort from his inside draw would see him winning again.
Ibrox Sandman faces a rise in class at Wentworth Park tonight, but he has been racing well and is over the odds at a huge price ($34 at publish). The son of Fabregas hasn’t missed a placed at his last three starts and was last seen recording a smart win at this track and distance. He’ll need to be at his best to beat a couple of these, but he is more than capable of filling a place.
The early scratching of Canya Star has left Kid Candle as clearly the runner to beat in the eighth at Wentworth Park tonight. Kid Candle has been racing well in tough races recently and should be able to dictate terms in this contest from the inside of the field. With appropriate luck, he can lead the whole way.
