You can’t help but admire A-League fans, particularly those on #SokkahTwitter
Soccer or Football or whatever you would like to call it has been a constant punching bag in Australia (well the local version of the game at least) for generations for the most stupid of reasons.
It’s understandable why they are right there at the trenches in whole “Code Wars” thing and if #SokkahTwitter took on Hall or Gallen it would have won easily.
But they need to relax, take a breather and not obsess over what other codes and sports are doing.
If they are not at war with AFL, League, Union or themselves it appears the NBL is their new enemy as their senior commandos FOX Sports commentator Simon Hill tweeted yesterday
This sort of article would only ever appear in Australia. No mention of the A-League’s average crowd being significantly higher than the NBL. Sometimes you do wonder how these get through.

Have a bex and a lie down guys.
The NBL has every right to celebrate its all-time record crowd at the Sydney Kings v Illawarra game on the weekend and in terms of TV time and are making hay while the sunshines.
There’s nothing wrong with that.
There’s also nothing wrong with an article doing a comparison of TV ratings and crowd figures.
The A-League and NBL are currently competing for eyeballs and the Aussie sports fan/punter is the winner right now.
I can totally understand as to why those who live and breathe the world game are sick of being a punching bag and will throw a punch at any opportunity.
But it’s time to relax, stop worrying about what others are thinking and enjoy what is turning out to be a highly entertaining season of the A-League even if it’s tempting to throw a punch back to those who try and bring it down.
It’s all sport at the end of the day, and we can all be friends.
The thoughts Dylan Leach of are not necessarily those of Neds and its parent company, GVC Australia.
