Moe: Race 3 (12pm AEDT)
No. 14 Rapid Romance

Rapid Romance has improved with racing this time and is ready to win third-up at Moe this afternoon. The Fastnet Rock filly ran fourth when resuming at Geelong and was unlucky not to break her maiden when a close-up second at Echuca last time out. She can settle in behind the early pace from gate 11 and finish over the top of her rivals.

Moe: Race 6 (1:30pm AEDT)
No. 4 Fanaar

Fanaar will take winning form into the sixth at Moe this afternoon and will be hard to beat again. The Lindsay Park-trained colt hit the line well to finish third at Donald when resuming and franked that performance with a nice win to break his maiden at Albury last time out. This is another rise in class, but he looks a horse with upside, and he can continue his rise through the grades.

Moe: Race 7 (2pm AEDT)
No. 1 Ambitious Gem

Several early scratchings have left the Robbie Griffiths-trained Ambitious Gem as the horse to beat in the seventh at Moe today. The Bel Esprit mare hasn’t been seen at the races since July, but she has typically contested races far harder than this and finished her last campaign with consecutive starts in Saturday races at Flemington. Anything close to her best would see her winning this with relative ease.

Moe: Race 8 (2:30pm AEDT)
No. 9 Sweet Elvira

Sweet Elvira will carry winning form into the last at Moe today and looks well placed to record another. The El Hermano mare ended her tenure in New Zealand with an easy win, and her debut run for Phillip Stokes at Pakenham was full of merit. She’ll take further improvement from that hit-out and is the one to beat.
