Daily Racing Tips – Thursday, November 14

each way
Quirindi: Race 4 (4:05pm AEDT)
No. 5 Syrian Sea

There was a lot to like about Syrian Sea’s debut performance at Gunnedah and I think that she can break her maiden from barrier 3 at Quirindi this afternoon. The three-year-old daughter of Zoffany is sure to enjoy good improvement from her competitive debut and the early scratching of Mother’s Day has left little in terms of decent exposed form.

Seymour: Race 7 (4:30pm AEDT)
No. 8 Cincinnati Red

Cincinnati Red hasn’t been seen at the races since June, but she is a mare of good ability and rates as a winning chance first-up in this company. The daughter of Reset finished second at each of her first two starts when resuming last time before stepping up in grade into a Saturday race at Flemington, albeit a failed tilt. She’s typically raced in tougher company than she strikes today and will take beating.

Pakenham: Race 4 (7:30pm AEDT)
No. 8 Right You Are

Right You Are has only made one appearance at the races so far but looks a horse of ability and he can break his maiden at Pakenham tonight. The Price & Kent Jnr-trained gelding was settled off the pace at Echuca on debut and mustered an eye-catching turn of foot to finish third. He’ll enjoy good improvement from the experience and can settle closer tonight from barrier 7.

best bet
Pakenham: Race 6 (8:30pm AEDT)
No. 7 Zoubo

Zoubo was outclassed in Group 3 company at Caulfield last time out, but her form prior was good, and she is up to winning a race of this calibre at Pakenham tonight. The Zoustar mare finished second in BM70 company at Sandown first-up before running fourth behind the likes of Fabric and Haut Brion Her in BM90 company at Caulfield. A repeat of that effort would see her far too good for this lot.
