…well, not quite.
Rugby World Cup organisers are expected to announce that the England v France final pool game is to be cancelled due to Typhoon Hagibis doing some serious damage the Asian archipelago.
The Scotland v Japan decider which will decide who progresses to the quarter-finals from Group A is expected to go-ahead in the same city 24 hours earlier, The Sydney Morning Herald reports.
A Rugby World Cup match has never been cancelled in the 32-year history of the tournament will not have any impact on rankings in pool C and means it’s almost a certainty that the Wallabies will play England in the first quarter-final on October 19 and Oita Stadium.
An announcement will be made by tournament organisers at 2 pm AEST today.
🏉 For the first time in Rugby World Cup history a game will be cancelled, with England’s clash against France being abandoned due to a looming typhoon.#RugbyWorldCuphttps://t.co/bTj2JcsgwX

However, despite some media and Twitter frothing at the mouth about the hypothetical of Mason Cox being traded to Essendon, Cox himself took inspiration from his President in addressing the issue.
