Bendigo: Race 4 (1:35pm AEDT)
No. 12 Oasis Girl

Oasis Girl will carry winning form into the fourth at Bendigo today and looks well placed to continue her rise through the grades. The Redoute’s Choice filly stripped fitter via a credible performance for fifth at Ballarat when resuming but took up the running at Seymour last time out and never appeared in doubt; hitting the line for an easy win. This is harder, but she’ll only improve and she can go straight to the lead today from barrier 4.

Bendigo: Race 8 (4pm AEDT)
No. 7 Sully

Sully has continued to improve with racing this time and he is primed to win this afternoon’s Bendigo Cup. The Reliable Man gelding was far from disgraced when he finished midfield at each of his first two starts when resuming, and he was unlucky not to return to the winner’s stall when a nose second in the Group 3 JRA Cup at The Valley. He was last seen hitting the line for third in the Group 2 Herbert Power Stakes and a repeat of that effort would see him extremely difficult to beat in this company.

Bendigo: Race 9 (4:40pm AEDT)
No. 1 Marcel From Madrid

Marcel From Madrid will relish a decent drop in class at Bendigo this afternoon and will take a power of beating. The four-year-old son of Sepoy recorded an impressive win over 1100m at Ballarat when resuming from a short spell, before another credible effort that saw him finish two and a half lengths off the winners in Listed company last time out. He has been charged with carrying topweight, but his best form would see him gap these rivals and he is drawn to receive a lovely run from barrier 7.

Bendigo: Race 10 (5:20pm AEDT)
No. 9 Irish Butterfly

Irish Butterfly hasn’t been seen at the races since February, but he was outstanding last time in and will be hard to beat first-up at Bendigo today. The O’reilly entire has had three career starts for two wins and a close-up second, including a strong win over a decent field at Pakenham most-recently. He’s trialled well in the lead-up to this and looks ready to go.
