Weemala John has been a strong and consistent performer this time and strikes a very winnable race at Wentworth Park tonight. A son of the legendary Fernando Bale, the two-year-old has been extremely well placed in a couple of tougher races than this recently, and he gets his chance to win from a good draw this time around.
Street Brawler has returned several pleasing efforts recently and looks a winning chance at a price in the sixth at Wentworth Park ($7.50 at publish). The son of Trewly Spirit recorded a dominant win at Nowra in slick time only a few runs back and has continued to perform well in tough company. He was last seen finishing second behind the smart Ritza Fire at Dapto and a repeat of that effort in this company would see him hard to beat.
Wynburn Lily will carry winning form into the eighth at Wentworth Park tonight and can record another win. The daughter of Barcia Bale mustered an eye-catching turn of foot at this track and distance at her last appearance and is rock-hard fit for this contest. She’ll need to be at her best to beat market favourite Sorry Scott, but her drawing of Box 1 could prove the difference.
There is no denying Conrod Straight’s class and he will take a power of beating in the last at Wentworth Park tonight. The one-year-old son of Crash rarely returns a poor effort and was particularly dominant at Goulburn two starts back, in what was probably a harder race than this. He need only find appropriate luck in running to be in the finish.
