Despite the fact that Lachie Neale was robbed, Fremantle’s Nat Fyfe won his second Brownlow Medal becoming the first dual-medal winner since Gary Ablett back in 2013.
Fyfe becomes the 11th player to win two Brownlow Medals.
There are 15 players that have won multiple Brownlow Medals.
He had the medal stitched up by Round 21 with 33 votes.
Punters multi’s were ruined by about Round 12.
Patrick Dangerfield came in second with 27 and our boy Lachie Neale along with Carlton’s Patrick Cripps finished third with 26 votes.
Lachie Neale now holds the record for the most votes polled by a Brisbane Lions (and Bears) player.
Michael Voss (tied with James Hird) got 21 votes back in 1996, Jason Akermanis polled 23 votes when he won in 2001 and Simon Black got 25 back in 2002.
There’s no doubting that history will rightly show Nat Fyfe to be rightful two-time Brownlow medalist and in his speech, he was incredibly grateful and humble about it.
He’s also a very good looking rooster, there’s no denying it.
The @freodockers captain opened up on what “really motivated” his run to a second #BrownlowMedal in a classy acceptance speech.https://t.co/IqZG3tGbg6

Remember when the mighty Brisbane Lions (proudly sponsored by Neds) beat Geelong back in Round 22 at the Gabba?
Remember what Cats coach Chris Scott said in his post-game press conference?
Chris Scott's Cats lost by a point as Charlie Cameron kicked five goals, but Scott didn't seem to think Cameron had a massive influence.

“I thought he was good late. I don’t think he had a huge influence on the game, but that’s my initial reaction.
“I thought he took his chances when they were presented. Did I misread that, was he the difference?”
Charlie Cameron kicked 5 goals in the game.
TURNS OUT HE POLLED THE 3 BROWNLOW VOTES IN THE MATCH.
COP THAT SALTY SCOTT.
