Round 25 vs St George Illawarra Dragons

Round 25 vs St George Illawarra Dragons

It obviously hasn’t been the season that we anticipated, but we’ll watch the Neds Gold Coast Titans go around one last time at Fortress Cbus on Saturday night and I am confident that the boys will get the win over St George.

The Dragons have been the big disappointment of the NRL in 2019. Having just missed a preliminary final berth last season, the sky really did appear to be the limit for Paul McGregor’s men this time around. Instead, they haven’t fired a single shot and several jobs are probably goneski, as a result.

To add insult to injury, they’ll be without arguably their best, but certainly most influential player in Cameron McInnes this week, who broke his leg against the Tigers last week and who has otherwise played every other game this season.

For the Titans, the game against the Storm a couple of weeks ago proved that there is huge ability in this squad. Some of the league’s toughest forwards, some exciting play-making prospects and some young, quick outside backs. With a fresh perspective, the sky really is the limit for the Neds Gold Coast Titans in 2020.

Further to the $2.24 overs that are on offer in head-to-head betting (at publish), sink your teeth into the Titans Tips below.

Total Match Points (43.5) – ‘Over’ ($1.88)

I’ve tipped Titans games to finish over the mark set by our bookies most weeks and more often than not, it paid off – why wouldn’t we look at it one last time?

In all seriousness, I can’t imagine either team is going to focus on tight defence more than they are busting over for a few meat pies!

We’ve arrived at the final game of the season, are you confident that the team can put in a big performance for the fans at Cbus?

First Tryscorer – Jesse Arthars ($10)

Jesse Arthars is without doubt one of the exciting young backs that I was referring to the introductions to this week’s Titans Tips.

Unfortunately, this will be the last time that Arthars pulls on the Titans jersey after signing with the Broncos for 2020 and beyond, but I think he’ll be eager to repay the club for giving him his first NRL shirt with a try against the Dragons.

The season obviously hasn’t played out for the team as planned, are you hopeful of a big performance to end the campaign on Sunday afternoon?

Anytime Tryscorer – Mitch Rein ($4.50)

He’s been a Titan for two seasons now, but who could forget Mitch Rein’s time and performances for the Red V?

He was touted as a potential for Origin while at the Dragons, and I’m eager to have something on him to cross against his old club on Saturday night.

You’ve been with the Titans for a couple seasons now, but do you still get excited when you play your old club?
