Zac Attack clearly needed the run when she finished towards the tail of the field at Eagle Farm first-up, but this is clearly the easiest task of her short racing career so far and she can return to winning form. The I Am Invincible filly recorded a smart win on debut at Doomben before being returned to the paddock and a repeat of that effort in this company would likely see her winning again.
Sacred Goddess has returned two pleasing efforts since debuting and is ready to break her maiden at Swan Hill this afternoon. The Redoute’s Choice filly has certainly stamped herself as a runner to follow in finished second at both of her appearances so far, and she’ll enjoy good improvement into her third start today, while she’s also drawn a peach in barrier 3.
Mister McIlroy has found terrific form recently and looks a live chance at a price in the seventh at Grafton today ($10 at publish). The son of Fastnet Rock gelding has continued to improve since resuming but has recorded good wins at Coffs Harbour and Kempsey at his two most-recent starts. He has options from the rails draw and will relish a drop in the weights with apprentice Emily Atkinson in the saddle.
Last Request will take good improvement into the second start of his campaign today and will be tough to beat. The Bel Esprit gelding was settled off the pace here at Swan Hill first-up and mustered an eye-catching turn of foot to run on well for a close-up third. He can settle closer today from barrier 7 and will be hard to hold out.
