Daily Racing Tips – Friday, September 27

Group 1 action returns to The Valley tonight and we’ve got you covered! Further to my best bets of the day below, you can check out a preview and tip for every race on Moir Stakes Night RIGHT HERE!

The Valley: Race 1 (6:30pm)
No. 1 King Of Hastings

King Of Hastings is a classy type and is primed to win the first at The Valley tonight. The Ilovethiscity gelding has recorded two wins and as many second placings from four career starts and returned from a freshen-up to finish second in the Group 3 McNeil last time out. This is a genuine drop in class and beautiful placement from Anthony Freedman.

best bet
The Valley: Race 3 (7:30pm)
No. 3 Miss Siska

Miss Siska will enjoy good improvement into her second campaign start at The Valley tonight and can record a Group 2 win in the Stocks Stakes. The So You Think mare found excellent form during her autumn prep; winning the Gold Bracelet at Bendigo and finishing fourth in the Group 1 Queen Of The Turf most notably. Her first-up performance in the Let’s Elope this time was enormous, and she can go one better here.

each way
The Valley: Race 6 (9pm)
No. 8 Mosh Music

Mosh Music’s record at The Valley is outstanding and he is over the odds to win tonight’s JRA Cup ($9 at publish). The Archie Alexander-trained gelding recorded four wins in succession last time in, three of which at The Valley and he will carry winning form into this race after beating a classy field to the line at Flemington last time out.

The Valley: Race 7 (9:30pm)
No. 11 Sunlight

Sunlight has a class edge over the lion’s share of her rivals in the Moir Stakes tonight and I think she’s going to take a power of beating. The multiple Group 1 winner was only fair to the line in the Concorde first-up, but she’s a horse that typically enjoys sharp improvement with a run under her belt and the conditions of this race will be ideal.
