Chasin’ Bobbi has continued to improve recently and looks well placed to record a win down the Healesville straight this afternoon. The daughter of Dyna Double One hit the line well to finish third over 390m at Ballarat two back, before another strong effort for second behind Gwenog Jones at Geelong last time out. She’s rock-hard fit and can stay away from trouble from the outside box.
Alfie Mikado has terrific form down the Healesville straight and looks tough to beat again this afternoon. The two-year-old has won three of his last five starts at this track and distance and was particularly impressive when an easy three-and-a-half length winner here last week. Harvey Warbanger looks a threat, but Alfie Mikado’s record here is far superior and I think that will prove the difference.
Our Aqua Blue was good when third off a long spell here last week, and I think she’ll enjoy sharp improvement into the eighth at Healesville this afternoon. The daughter of Banjo Boy returned several pleasing efforts last time in but hit the line well last week and with even luck from a central draw today, is up to winning what looks a pretty open contest. ($10 at publish).
Totally Know smoked the clock here last month and has been completely luckless since. He’s drawn the outside box in a weaker field today and that could prove the difference in his return to winning form. He is clearly up to the task and should be given every chance to fight back into the winner’s stall today.
