BRONCOS WIN GAME NO ONE WANTED TO WIN

Last night’s Queensland Derby at 1300 SMILES Stadium was woeful and neither the Cowboys or Broncos looked like they wanted to win.

Some reports suggest it was a thriller, I’m here to tell you – it wasn’t.

The ending consisted of the Broncos being two points down heading into the final minute before Jake Turpin got past multiple Cowboys defenders to seal the win and now all of a sudden Brisbane find themselves in the top eight.

The match itself was error-ridden and completion rates were at 75% for the match and 27 errors between them.

The Broncos won and if they end of playing the finals, it will be a waste of space.

Let us never speak of the game again.

ARCTIC PARK IS BACK

The forecast in Canberra for tonight’s GWS v Hawthorn game – BLOODY COLD.

If you’re headed to the footy in our nations capital pack as much winter gear as possible because the Giants and Hawks are likely to be playing in bitterly cold conditions tonight.

It’s going to be that cold that Alistair Clarkson might even allow the Hawks players to wear long sleeves, which he has banned since his legendary coaching dynasty started back in 2005.

Craig Ryan from the BOM NSW office told FOX Sports that the temperature “is expected to be in the low single digits come the first bounce.”

“We’re talking about two to three degrees — and there’s a chance we’ll have some shower activity with the potential of 30 to 35km/h winds. So it’ll be a little gusty for the players,”

The forecast is part of a winter storm that’s currently giving South-East Australia a serious cold snap.

One need only remember the infamous St.Kilda v Brisbane clash at Waverley Park back in 1993 when then Bears player Paul Peos copped a battering when a hailstorm broke out during the match.

Tonight could beat it.
