Hulk did everything but win when he presented as a gelding for the first time here a fortnight ago and with natural improvement, he’ll be extremely difficult to beat in the second at Warwick Farm this afternoon. The Chris Waller-trained three-year-old has shown good promise throughout his short racing career and his first-up performance suggested he’s in for a nice prep. He’s drawn a peach in gate 3 and will have the services of champion hoop Hugh Bowman.
Erno hasn’t been seen at the races since April, but he is an above average galloper and can make a winning return at Warwick Farm today. The Rubick colt won each of her first two career starts when resuming in March and was last seen finishing second in the Clarendon Stakes. He’ll be ridden by James McDonald and will take a power of beating.
Logan River faces a rise in class at Warwick Farm today, but he has returned to racing in excellent condition this time and looms as a genuine threat at a nice price. The Mitch Beer-trained galloper recorded an impressive win at the Sapphire Coast two back, before mustering an eye-catching turn of foot to run on from the tail of the field for second at Wagga last time out. He can settle closer to the speed today from an inside barrier and is rock-hard fit.
Lifetime Quest will carry winning form into the last at Warwick Farm today and with even luck, can send us home a winner. The Kris Lees-trained gelding hasn’t missed a place in four starts this time, and his most-recent effort suggested that he has found peak condition. Hugh Bowman takes the ride and the horse can fight out the finish.
