Spritely Brew hasn’t shown her best form recently, but she’ll enjoy a noticeable drop in class at Geelong today and is up to winning. The daughter of Magic Sprite did hit the line well to finish second two back and a repeat of that performance in this company would see her winning. An empty box on her outside should also prove beneficial.
Chief Command will carry winning form into the ninth at Geelong this evening and looks the one to beat again. The son of Cosmic Chief beat a decent field to the line in good time at Warragul last time out and can make all of his own luck from the inside draw again here.
Tap Out Ava faces a rise in class, but the eighth at Gosford tonight does look an open affair and there is no doubt that she’s a live each-way chance ($7 at publish). The daughter of Barcia Bale has been a strong and largely consistent performer recently and was last seen saluted at this track and distance, albeit in weaker company.
