Ibrox Sandman will carry winning form into the first at Wentworth Park tonight and looks tough to beat again. The son of Fabregas has continued to improve with racing recently, but his most recent effort suggested that he has found peak condition and with even luck from the wide draw, he can fight out the finish.
Wynburn Mia has returned several pleasing efforts recently and appears well placed to record another win at Wentworth Park. The daughter of Barcia Bale has won three of her last six starts, including a dominant triumph at Bulli two back, and her best form would see her beating these rivals with relative ease.
What Time Smoko is drawn in a field with a couple of smart ones tonight, but he is an above-average athlete in his own right and can return to winning form. The son of My Bro Fabio recorded consecutive wins three and four starts back and was last seen finishing on the winner’s heels over 520m at Nowra. If he doesn’t run into early trouble from Box 3, I think he’ll win.
Cawborne Marty is seeking a hat-trick of wins when he steps out at Wentworth Park today and appears to have conditions to suit. The son of Swift Fancy never appeared in doubt when he extended to win at this track and distance by nearly six lengths last week, and he’ll have the benefit of an empty box on his outside tonight.
