Rockin’ Rosco will enjoy a step back in class at Healesville today and will take plenty of beating. The son of Dyna Double One has a good record at this track and trip and hit the line well in tougher company to finish second a fortnight ago. He’s rock-hard fit and can stay away from trouble from box 8. With even luck, he’s the one to beat.
Catalina Icon will carry winning form into the fifth at Healesville this afternoon and looks the one to beat again. The daughter of Flying Penske has recorded two wins and a close-up second from her last three starts, including a relatively easy triumph here at Healesville three back. She can tuck in behind the early pace before mustering a big turn of foot late.
Just Jimmy has been a strong and consistent performer recently and looks a like chance at a price again this afternoon ($10 at publish). The son of Fernando Bale recorded an impressive win at Warragul three back and has since finished on the winner’s heels at two subsequent starts. This is harder, but he has the runs on the board and is over the odds at his current price.
Xan Mai hasn’t been seen at the races since November, but he typically loves racing down the straight at Healesville and is up to winning fresh. The son of Glen Gallon returned several excellent efforts and results last time in and smoked the clock here on several occasions. His best form would have him winning.
