With the Saints giving Alan Richardson the Freo Heave-Ho (or he gave it to himself depending on who you believe) club legend Nick Riewoldt says he’d be a willing participant to pick a new coach at the Saints.
The job hunt is on and while it hasn’t been advertised on Seek Carlton AFLW style, Riewoldt has had his two cents about who should take the top job at Moorabbin.
Speaking on SEN breakfast this morning Riewoldt said “potentially” and asked if the Saints should go back to the future and have a crack at Ross Lyon Riewodt said “Of course I would,”
“There’s a bit of a misconception about the way he left the Saints that would need to be cleared up … but I can’t see that (his return) happening.
“He’s contracted at Freo.”
That wasn’t a problem last time when he left.
“This is something that has really annoyed me throughout the entire year."

It seems Australia’s batting stocks going into the Ashes is better than first thought.
Rather than the focus being on who will make the cut, it seems it will be headlined by who has missed out on the cut with the talent pool looking good as the Australia A team currently has a 353 run lead and are on the cusp of victory in the tour match against the English Lions.
Marcus Harris scored a half-century, Kurtis Patterson and Tim Paine had 38 runs apiece with important contributions to the total.
Looks like Australian selection for the upcoming series is going to be a good problem to have.

While cashed-up Philadelphia 76ers star Ben Simmons has ruled himself out of the Basketball World Cup in China, a compromise has been reached and he will play for the Boomers in the exhibition games in both Perth and Melbourne.
Simmons statement on Wednesday said he officially chose not to travel with the Boomers to China for the World Cup Tournament.
It’s good news for Aussie fans that can see the NBA Superstar in action with the two matches against Canada in Perth on August 16 and 17 and then the two matchups against the USA at Marvel Stadium on August 22 and 24.
