Warwick Farm: Race 1 (12:50pm)
No. 1 Splendid Surprise

Splendid Surprise has only made one appearance at the races so far but has stamped himself as a horse to follow and is primed to break his maiden in the first at Warwick Farm today. The Showcasing gelding closed off well to finish second on the Kensington course at Randwick on debut and there’s no doubt that he’ll enjoy wholesale improvement from the experience. He’s drawn well and can go one better.

Warwick Farm: Race 5 (3:10pm)
No. 5 Terwilliker

Terwilliker has been a model of consistency this time and is up to winning the fifth at Warwick Farm this afternoon. The Anthony Cummings-trained gelding has finished worse than second only once in his four most-recent starts, and that was a still-credible run for fifth in the Stayers Cup over two miles at Rosehill late last month. This is a decent drop in class from that races, and a return to 2200m should also suit.

Warwick Farm: Race 6 (3:45pm)
No. 5 Think Free

Think Free has returned several pleasing efforts this time and looks well placed to return to winning form at Warwick Farm this afternoon. The So You Think filly has form around some excellent horses this time in, and stroke home to win in BM70 company at Newcastle two back, before finishing fourth behind the likes of Call Me Royal and Phaistos at Rosehill last time out. She’s rock-hard fit and will take beating.

Warwick Farm: Race 7 (4:20pm)
No. 2 Inanup

Inanup is another horse that will appreciate a drop in class at Warwick Farm today and he is over the odds to salute in the last ($14 at publish). The five-year-old gelding resumed this time for impressive and consecutive wins at Wyong and here at Warwick Farm, before a fair effort in a far harder race at Randwick last time out. He’s rock-hard fit for this and is does look a far more suitable race for him.
