Taree: Race 1 (12:15pm)
No. 7 Glamarama Girl

Glamarama Girl has returned several competitive efforts this time and won’t be offered a better opportunity to win than she finds at Taree this afternoon. The Sebring filly has been up and racing for a while, but her two most-recent efforts, both for third suggested that she is still well and truly in form and is knocking on the door of another win. She has options from the rails draw and will take beating in this company.

Taree: Race 3 (1:25pm)
No. 4 Monterey Lad

Monterey Lad has stripped fitter for two runs this time and is ready to break his maiden third-up at Taree today. The Benfica gelding resumed for a close-up second at Muswellbrook before finishing down the order in a tougher race at Wyong. I like that he’s trialled leading into this race and it does look a far more appropriate target.

Taree: Race 5 (2:40pm)
No. 7 Explosive Missile

Explosive Missile was only fair to the line at Grafton first-up, but he is a horse that typically enjoys sharp improvement into his second-up targets, and he looks a live chance at a price in an open race at Taree today. The Smart Missile gelding won at Newcastle at this point of his preparation last time in and he has options in transit today from the rails draw.

Taree: Race 7 (3:50pm)
No. 4 Red Heat

Red Heat is another horse that will enjoy good improvement into her second campaign target at Taree today, and looks well placed to win. The Helenus mare mustered a smart turn of foot to run on for a close-up second at Port Macquarie first-up this time and any improvement taken into this race would see her fighting out the finish.
