Freedom’s Fire has returned two competitive efforts this time and strikes a winnable one third-up at Muswellbrook today. The Paul Perry-trained gelding hit the line well to finish second at Cessnock first-up, before running third at Wyong last time out. This looks an easier prospect than his most-recent start and he is ready to break his maiden.
Fashion Icon hit the line well to finish second here at Muswellbrook first-up and should carry wholesale improvement into the third this afternoon. The More Than Ready filly was settled off the pace in the 1280m dash and mustered an eye-catching turn of foot, and she can emulate those tactics from the wide barrier today, while also enjoying the rise in trip.
Lucky Siren faces a rise in class at Muswellbrook this afternoon, but also carries winning for into the sixth and can go on with the job at a nice price ($6.50 at publish). The Choisir filly showed decent ability during a short debut prep but has clearly returned to the track a far more furnished prospect this time and finished third in a 1000m sprint first-up, before breaking her maiden at Goulburn last time out. She harbours further improvement and will take beating.
Star Alibi has only made one appearance at the races so far but was an impressive winner on debut and will be tough to beat again. The Star Witness filly proved far too good for a maiden field on debut and she’s drawn to receive all the favours again from the rails. The $3 on offer at publish looks a touch of overs.
