Cocoon has been luckless of late, but has recorded several quality performances, times and results here and looks a live chance of returning to winning form after drawing Box 1. The son of Kinloch Brae can go straight to the lead tonight and with even luck, he will prove extremely difficult to run down.
Coconut Gloria finished at the tail of the field at her two most-recent starts, but she’ll enjoy a decent step back in class at Geelong this evening and has drawn ideally in Box 2. The two-year-old took up the running here three back and was never headed; extending late to easily win. A repeat of that performance would see her saluting in this company.
Tiggy Buzzard faces a small rise in class at Geelong tonight, but she was an impressive last start winner and does look up to winning again. The daughter of Shakey Jakey strode clear of her rivals to score by three lengths last time out and she is rock-hard fit for this. She can stay away from early traffic from out wide and will take beating.
