We’re set for an outstanding contest when Australia step out opposite the West Indies at Trent Bridge tonight. Both nations recorded dominant first-up wins and while betting suggests that it will be all one-way traffic in Australia’s favour tonight, I’m not so sure.
As anticipated, the Aussies recorded a comfortable win over Afghanistan first-up and they’ll have taken plenty of benefit from the hit-out. David Warner was outstanding with the bat and delivered on our top runscorer tip, so I’m more than happy to reload with him.
The West Indies are clearly at their best in the limited overs formats these days and they’ll be quietly confident of taking a big scalp today. Their win over Pakistan was massive and that result has since been franked, with that opposition defeating England on Monday night.
