Round 15 vs Manly Sea Eagles

Round 15 vs Manly Sea Eagles

Fresh off the bye and prior to that, unlucky not to be fresh off a win, the mighty Neds Gold Coast Titans return to Fortress Cbus on Saturday afternoon to take on the Manly Sea Eagles.

If you had your head in a hole with your fingers in your ears, I feel like I need to get you up to speed. Manly’s Tom and Jake Trbojevic were monstrous in State of Origin 2 on Sunday – one scored three tries; one was named Man of the Match. With Queensland’s captain and halfback Daly Cherry-Evans also in tow, there is absolutely no denying that our boys have their work cut out for them.

There’s also no denying, however, how dominant the Titans were against this very side, only a matter of weeks ago down in Sydney. A repeat of that effort, in front of the home fans would see an extremely difficult task fall in front of Des Hasler’s arsenal.

There’s outstanding value available for the Titans in head-to-head betting, but I’m going to take a little extra insurance this week and back the boys to cover the line as outsiders, currently set at 4.5 points.

More Titans Tips and some unique insight from this week’s selected players below.

Total Match Points (44.5) – Over ($1.88)

The total match points figure has been set at 44.5 this week and I am more than happy to take the standard $1.88 quote that is available for ‘over’.

Both clubs obviously boast some serious attacking weapons and I would not be surprised to see the Titans and the Sea Eagles record upwards of 24 points each.

You’ve won your past three games against the Sea Eagles and gave them a bit of a touch-up at Brookvale Oval last month. Are you confident that you can maintain your excellent record against your rivals?

First Tryscorer – Dale Copley ($10)

Dale Copley has found rare try scoring form this season and I am eager to take the double-figures on offer for the winger to cross first against the Sea Eagles.

Copley trotted in three when the Titans beat Manly in May and is clearly a handful for the Sea Eagles’ defence.

You crossed for three tries when you took on Manly last month. Are you looking forward to terrorizing their defence once again?

Anytime Tryscorer – Brian Kelly ($2.70)

Former Sea Eagle Brian Kelly has really started to find some prolific try scoring form and I am sure that there is nothing that he’d prefer than to cross for another against his old club.

Kelly’s season record now stands at six, and he has scored in the Titans’ two most-recent games.

You’ve been in outstanding try-scoring form in recent weeks. Do you think you can cross for another meat-pie against your old club Manly on Saturday?
